My Home and Studio in the Mountains of Southeast Idaho, a Few Miles from Lava Hot Springs

Hello, A little bit about me...Art is a very personal and necessary part of my life; my entire house is a studio, and every room is inundated with artsy flotsam. A variety of my work is displayed at Dragonfly Gallery of Fine Art, 178 W. Main, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, and in private collections. (see below)  I have a PurliqueArt page on Facebook, and Dragonfly Gallery is also on Facebook. My art consists of acrylic, watercolor and oil paintings, acrylic pours and alcohol ink paintings, colored pencil and ink drawings, and lots of experimentation with new media.  Currently I'm creating gold metal leaf designs on various substrates. I have made books, handmade paper, baskets, paper collages, shabby chic fabric collages, cards, photo prints and more. My photography has evolved from simple nature photos into artistic photo renderings, and Milky Way photoshoots are the highlights of my summer. Thanks for stopping by!

Plein Air Painting at Texas Spring Campground

Another Beautiful Sunrise in Dempsey 'Burbs

As long as I can remember, I've always painted, and I've always camped, but only in the past few years have I camped for plein air painting experiences and Milky Way photoshoots.  With the acquisition of my Safari van, "Sheena Queen of the Jungle,"  I'm able to pack everything I need and travel to many dark skies and scenic venues.  The most recent was a road trip all the way to Death Valley in November, 2021. Photographing the sunrise at Zabrieski Point was a highlight of that trip.  Future prints and paintings of DV are percolating.  City of Rocks, Craters of the Moon, Sawtooths, Harriman, Wildlife Management Areas, Targee National Forest, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons are just a few of the locations where I am fortunate to experience outstanding scenery and wildlife for my artistic ventures.
